Reading the numbers
L. Yamal leads the La Liga assists standings on 8 assists for FC Barcelona, with Vinícius Júnior (Real Madrid) one behind. Third place belongs to J. Bellingham on 6.
The table lists 12 players and 47 assists in total. FC Barcelona are the best represented club in the top ten with 3 entries, which says as much about how they share the workload as about individual quality.
An assist is the pass that directly leads to a goal, and it is the cleanest measure of creativity we have. The table rewards the final ball rather than the build-up, so a midfielder who plays the killer pass will outrank a deep-lying playmaker who starts the move. Read it alongside goals: a player high on both lists is usually the one his team cannot replace.
When comparing entries, remember that opportunity drives output. Minutes played decide how often a player can add to his tally, so a squad player with a strong per-90 rate can outrank a starter over a full season. Every figure on this page is recalculated after each round, so the order you see is the order after the most recent matchday in the La Liga.
